Collection Description: The New Britain Industrial Museum was opened in 1995 to preserve artifacts representative of New Britain products dating back to 1812. New Britain was a leading city in early American invention, technology, and manufacturing. There are permanent and changing exhibits. Companies represented include Stanley Works, Fafnir Bearing, Landers (metal products and appliances), American Hardware, North & Judd hardware, and others.
