Access hours: Monday 5:30 to 8; Tuesday & Wednesday 10-1; Thursday & Friday 1-5.

Access restrictions: No photocopying of books published before 1930, or after 1930 if in poor condition. Materials do not circulate.

Reproduction fees: 15 cents per page for printed materials.

Other provisions: Users must sign in upon entering the room. Only pencils may be used for note-taking.

Other information: Researchers can find a list of municipal documents and information on neighborhood resources on the library website.

Collection Description: The Local History Room contains three main collections: books, municipal documents, and newspaper clippings. The primary focus of the collection as a whole is the history of the city, but it also contains some information of interest to genealogists. The clippings and city documents on redevelopment, in particular, are heavily used by students.
