Available to Groton residents with a valid library card is The
Day's web site . The local newspaper, The (New
London) Day is a good place to research local history or genealogy.
It contains news stories, obituaries, etc. since 1999. The
library has The Day on microfilm from July 1881 to December
1896 and from January 1937 to the present. We also have printed
indexes to The Day for 1881 to 1896, July 1988 to December
1997, and a partial index card file for December 1975 to June
1988.
