Collection Description:
The historical collection includes: material on Newgate Prison
and Copper Mine, genealogies of East Granby families, local
railroad history, material on tobacco growing, local oral
histories on cassettes, extensive information on and photos
of old East Granby houses, church records, cemetery records,
account books and diaries, war records, miscellaneous information
relating to town government and local organizations, histories
of surrounding towns, Simsbury vital records, and Census records
on microfilm.
