Other information: The North Haven Historical Society owns the Martha Culver House at 290 Quinnipiac Avenue in North Haven. It is not open to the general public at this time because of some electrical and heating problems, but people can make special appointments to see it.

Collection Description: The collections include:

  • The 1856 Martha Culver House
  • Victorian furniture
  • Research library
  • Brockett Gold Rush letters
  • Blakelee Papers, including deeds and account books
  • 18th and 19th century diaries of people in North Haven
  • Collection of early farming and household tools
  • Pictures of old houses of North Haven
