Collection Description: The Society has a museum on the town green in Glastonbury and also operates an historic home, the Welles-Shipman-Ward House, 972 Main Street, South Glastonbury. Check the Society’s website for information on museum displays.

The Society is in the process of a multi-year project to catalogue its artifacts (an estimated 6,000+ items) and archives. Only a brief list was submitted for this survey, including: Civil War enlistment papers for African Americans, account books dating from the early 18 th century, an extensive photo collection which includes a many early 20 th century photos taken throughout New England.
