Access hours:
The Thomas Lee House, the Little Boston Schoolhouse, a period
garden, and our exhibits are open for guided tours from late
June through Labor Day. We are open daily Tuesday through
Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. We give special tours by appointment.
Tours may be arranged in the spring and fall. You may contact

The Town of East Lyme also maintains a local history museum,
the Smith-Harris House (1840), owned by the Town and overseen
by a seven member commission appointed by the board of selectmen.
An auxiliary group, The Friends of Smith-Harris, provides
volunteer support for the special programs. For further information
and inquiries about the Smith-Harris House, call 860-739-0761.
Collection Description:
The Society maintains the Thomas Lee House, ca 1660, and books,
documents, pictures, furniture, tools, implements, artifacts
and other articles associated with the history of the Thomas
Lee House and the family. It also maintains Little Boston
Schoolhouse, 1734.
